Red Dragon Peter Wright Snakebite Supa Venom 21 gram Darts
Peter Wright, the relentless Double World Champion, challenged Red Dragon's design team to create him a futuristic dart design packed with the most technologically advanced features ever seen in a single set of darts.
Supa-Venom has gone through the depths of testing, ensuring that this extra technology is used to the max, and fits Peter like a glove. These technology-packed barrels feature Triple Milling, Ring Cut Design, Multiple Ionic Coating, Dual Profile Contours and Double Geometric Grip Styling.
The result is futuristic concept darts that the Double World Champion is already throwing in Major events today.
These scintillating-looking darts are finished with Quattro vertical orientated rounded edge grip in midnight black, and a rear cube design sloped radius grip in electric blue - the result is breath-taking.
The Dual Geometric grip styling allows Peter to leverage the exact grip contact areas, with his thumb and forefinger driving the dart trajectory. The front vertical hexagonal design allows him to instinctively counterbalance the forward thrust achieving a pure flow to his throw.
Sharing Peter’s passion for darts design is deep in Red Dragons DNA and this latest collaboration is a game-changer in player dart design.

Red Dragon Peter Wright Snakebite Supa Venom 21 gram Darts
Monday, September 5th, 2022 - The Darts CollectorFrom the minute I unpacked these they caught my eye. I was truly amazed by the fact that the grip profile was so different to anything I’d seen previously and that the images I’d seen of the darts online just didn’t do them justice.
Typically, Red Dragon player darts arrive in their smart packaging with a side slide out tray to allow easy access of your new toys. In this case they arrived in the new Peter Wright Double World Champion Packaging, primarily bright blue with an image of the man himself with ‘The” trophy.
The darts are supplied with a set of short ‘Snakebite’ Nitrotech shafts in black with Purple caps and extra thick standard flights in semitransparent pink and blue. The flights overall aren’t a huge issue in the package, have been around a little while now and could have been updated in line with the darts, just saying.
Looking at the darts specifications like all Snakebite darts these are 54.6mm long and 6mm in diameter. The grip profile is a stark change from the Euro 11 style barrels and also a long way from the Mamba profile.
The nose of the dart is elliptical in appearance and is closer to the style of nose on his World Champion edition darts. But that’s where any comparisons end, the grip and look of the dart is all new. In simplistic terms the dart has a front and rear grip, each taking up about 50% of the barrel, with the various areas of the grip divided by a ‘U’ shaped ring cut into the barrel and coloured purple.
The first 4 or 5mm of the barrel is the elliptical nose, followed by approximately 15mm of what I would describe as a recessed diamond shaped grip in black, in the official description it’s described as a Quattro grip. The front and rear grips are separated by a single plain band about 5mm wide and bordered on either side by yet another purple filled ‘U’ shaped groove. The rear grip area is a series of 6 hexagonally cut sections that are coloured ‘Electric Blue’ and divided as a single ring, double ring and triple ring by a series of 4 more purple filled ‘U’ rings, finishing in a 2mm plain section to meet the shaft.
From the moment they arrived I haven’t been able to put them down. They’re a touch heavier at 21g than the 20g Euro 11 darts that I play with, but I have to say that there is just something about the grip and feel of the darts overall.
The first trip to the board resulted in 2 treble twenties and a single. From there I went through a series of practice drills and the outcome was amazing, no warm up or extended practice every opportunity I had, I found myself at the board throwing these beauties.
The look of the darts is a bonus but I can’t really put a finger on what I like the most about them. The grip is really hard to describe, it’s very positive but, more pronounced at the rear of the dart that said it’s a very gentle but positive grip probably rates at 2.5 out of 5 but it’s not the focus on playing with the darts. When you read the Red Dragon description it uses terms like - Triple Milling, Ring Cut Design, Multiple Ionic Coating, Dual Profile Contours and Double Geometric Grip Styling.
They are just really great to play with, well balanced, easy to control and above all super colourful. I’m not a huge fan of coloured darts but bearing in mind whose darts they are, the outrageous colour scheme is only to be expected. The only negative I can pick on is the price point they are a bit on the pricey side but you get a lot of dart for your money. I tried to fine tune these by using standard short shafts, but they couldn’t be any better than they were when they came out of the box.
Overall, I give them an easy 4.5 out of 5. I’m biased and proud to say I’m a Snakebite fan and a BIG fan of the Supa Venom.
