What is the correct height for a dartboard?

The dartboard should be 1.73 metres or 173 centimetres from the centre of the dartboard (the centre of the bull) to the ground. This is the regulation height mandated by dart associations globally.

What is the correct distance from the ground to the throwing line?

Setup the dartboard throwing distance to measure 2.37 metres or 237 centimetres from the wall to the front of the Oche (or throwing line).

After your dartboard has completely been set up, it is a good idea to measure the distance from the centre of the bull to the Oche throwing line to make 100% sure all measurements are correct. If this distance shows to be 2.93 metres or 293 centimetres then you know your dartboard was set up correctly.

All competition and professional dartboards are made from sisal fibres usually sourced from Africa. Dartboards can also be made from paper, cork.
